Qualifications and Skills

Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program in Canada
Valid CNO license
Must have a driver's license and a reliable vehicle
Must be willing to travel within the City and Essex County
Immunization records required
Valid BLS certification (must be in-person and Canadian endorsed)

Duties

Medication dispensary
Assist with resident treatments
Assist with preparation for MD rounds
Assist with paperwork preparation (Bloodwork/samples)
Assist with liaising between family and MD Assist with liaising between all staff and ADOC/DOC
Attend any education/in-service, multi-D meetings
Answer any call bells
Provide guidance and assistance to PSWs and RPNs
Ensure all staff are following health and safety procedures
Assist with filling sick calls
Assist with any emergency, resident or home related
Charting on PCC – must be completed prior to shift end
Surveillance of residents
Updating care plans
Preparing reports for doctors
Assist with other duties assigned by the home
