Full job description

Treasured Taste is hiring a Bakery Associate to support the daily preparation, production, packaging, and cleaning of our pastry and dessert products.

The ideal candidate has 2 to 3 years of bakery, pastry, dessert, or food production experience. Experience working in food service, restaurants, catering, or commercial kitchens is also considered an asset.

This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. Treasured Taste is a new and growing company, and this position offers opportunities to develop into a senior bakery, production lead, or supervisory role as the business expands.

Main Responsibilities

Prepare pastries, cakes, desserts, fillings, creams, syrups, and other bakery products
Measure and mix ingredients according to approved company recipes
Follow production quantities, portion sizes, methods, and product specifications
Protect the confidentiality of company recipes, production methods, ingredient ratios, supplier information, and business processes
Operate mixers, ovens, scales, refrigerators, freezers, and other bakery equipment
Assemble, decorate, cut, portion, and package finished products
Check product appearance, taste, weight, consistency, and quality
Label and date products correctly
Maintain clean and organized workstations
Wash and sanitize tools, trays, equipment, and production areas
Follow food safety, hygiene, allergen, and temperature-control procedures
Store ingredients and finished products correctly
Report damaged equipment, ingredient shortages, or quality problems to the supervisor
Support other production and packaging duties when required

Requirements

Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in bakery, pastry, dessert, commercial kitchen, or food production
Experience preparing pastries and desserts
Ability to follow recipes and production instructions accurately
Ability to measure ingredients using scales and measuring equipment
Good understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety
Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive production work
Ability to lift up to 20 kg when required
Ability to work quickly while maintaining product quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Basic English communication skills
Availability for early morning, daytime, evening, or weekend shifts as required
Willingness to sign and comply with a confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement

The successful candidate will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement as a condition of employment.

Work Environment

This position requires working in a commercial bakery and food production environment. Employees may work near ovens, refrigerators, freezers, mixers, and other production equipment.

All employees must follow company food safety, hygiene, uniform, confidentiality, and workplace safety requirements.
