JOB DESCRIPTION
The Lead Stager is responsible for :
meeting and consulting with clients at their condo/house, project management, product picking, design planning, leading and guiding the team members and professional movers, packing of all furniture and accessories, and doing all the set up in support of the Staging and Design team.
This includes warehouse duties as well as in-house staging at client homes.
Job Type: PERMANENT EMPLOYEE Part Time to Full Time, minimum of 30 hours required per week to full time hours of up to 44 hours during busy seasons
Salary: $30-45/hour. This is for the Lead Stager role per project. Base pay is minimum pay for all assistant duties
Location of Office: Dixie and Dundas St in MISSISSAUGA
Workdays: Monday - Friday, on call for weeknights and/or weekends for client meetings if they cannot meet during the day
Work hours: 9 AM start time and staging days latest ending at 6pm
Dress code: all black business casual
Team mates: You will be working consistently with your other staging associates, executive administrator, and 2-3 professional movers, our loyal Realtors and homeowners
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Location: Warehouse is in Mississauga so we meet there daily for staging days
Additional Locations: travel between client homes and a warehouse environment on a daily basis (Between Toronto, Milton, Newmarket to Ajax)
Plan and execute designs on a quick timeline of 1 day to 4 weeks
Meet and offer in person consultations in client homes
Being highly organized and timely with typing up notes and checklists as required and emailing them out
Product picking from our expansive in-house inventory, ensuring client satisfaction and managing the team
You need to drive EVERYDAY: Have your own vehicle to drive to/from client homes and also be able to use own vehicle for some products to be moved (small items. bring back accessory bins etc)
Use a fabric steamer for bedding, curtains and all fabric items
Clean accessories, tables, furniture and sweep and vacuum floors
Tidying and organize clients house, items, warehouse
Put together and fix items and furniture as necessary
Hang art, using tools like screwdrivers, hammers and a drill
WORKING CONDITIONS
Physically active, Lengthy periods of standing are required
80-90% of the time is standing and moving to complete tasks required
Must be able to Move, lift and carry items up to 30lbs everyday
Must be comfortable leveraging a ladder and heights
Fast paced work environment, this is NOT a desk job.
QUALIFICATIONS
Work a minimum of 30 hours between Monday to Friday for staging. Available weekends and evenings for client meetings
Available to work flexible hours between 9-5, and on occasion later hours. Work hours are up to 44hrs/week during the busy seasons
Be willing to travel all over the GTA between downtown Toronto, Burlington,, Newmarket and Oshawa
Work quickly and efficiently with minimal supervision, strong leadership skills to guide the team and professional movers
Strong English communication skills required, written and verbal
Strong attention to detail
This is a job posting for an EXPERIENCED STAGER. You will be expected to be able to plan, design, execute and set up a minimum of 3 projects a week and up to 12 projects a week during busy seasons.
