Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Part-time Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting and bookkeeping who can work independently to manage financial records accurately. The successful candidate will support our financial operations by maintaining precise records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting processes. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks,
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to ensure data accuracy
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities
Assist with payroll processing and related documentation
Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and preparing reports
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Prepare financial reports for management review
Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and supporting documentation

Qualifications

Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with familiarity in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare accurate reports
Proficiency in bank reconciliation and account analysis tasks
Effective time management skills with the ability to work independently on a part-time schedule
Prior experience in budgeting is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred
