Full job description

NOTE: This position is located in Gibsons on the Sunshine Coast and only candidates physically located here will be considered.

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ice Cream Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious ice cream and ensuring that our customers enjoy a delightful experience. If you have a love for food preparation, and the food industry, this position is perfect for you. You will play a key role in creating high-quality products while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and mix ingredients to create various ice cream flavors according to established recipes.
Operate ice cream machines and other equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure all food safety and handling procedures are followed to maintain product quality.
Decorate pints, sandwiches and other SKUs as needed, showcasing creativity and attention to detail.
Package finished products for sale, ensuring proper labelling and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including equipment and utensils, in compliance with health regulations.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation or the food industry is a must.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Basic cooking skills are beneficial for preparing various desserts beyond ice cream.
Must be able to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team.
Ability to work in a team environment. We are part of a shared commercial kitchen space in Gibsons.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
