JOB – HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

· Full Time, Permanent

· Work Location: 554 west river rd. Grand Falls NB

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Repairs failures that cause breakdowns on heavy equipment (Asphalt Pavers, Roller Compactors, Rubber Tire, Shuttle Buggy, Loaders, Excavators, Dozer, Graders, Skid Steers, Curb Machine, Milling Machine, Pulverizer and more)

· Adjust equipment, repair, or replace parts

· Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using hoists and hand tools.

· Adjusting and repairing ignition, fuel, electrical, hydraulic and steering systems.

· Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions

· Use various power hand tools

· Test repaired equipment for proper performance

· Work from service manuals and schematic drawings

· Evaluate parts for reuse, repair or replacement

QUALIFICATIONS

· Possess a licensed (red seal) Heavy Equipment Mechanic

· Must be able to read and understand technical drawings

· Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with the supervisor and fellow employees.

· Must possess a valid driver's license

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Effectuer une inspection de maintenance quotidienne

· Répare les pannes qui causent des bris sur l'équipement lourd

· Régler l'équipement, réparer ou remplacer des pièces

· Inspecter l'équipement pour les défauts et les dysfonctionnements

· Démonter et remonter l'équipement lourd à l'aide de palans et d'outils à main.

· Réglage et réparation des systèmes d'allumage, de carburant, électriques, hydrauliques et de direction.

· Utiliser divers outils manuels et électriques

· Tester l'équipement réparé pour s'assurer qu'il fonctionne correctement

· Travailler à partir de manuels d'entretien et de dessins schématiques

· Évaluer les pièces à réutiliser, réparer ou remplacer

QUALIFICATIONS

· Posséder un permis de mécanicien d’équipement lourd (sceau rouge)

· Doit être capable de lire et de comprendre des dessins techniques

· Doit être capable de comprendre les directives de travail et de communiquer efficacement avec le superviseur et les collègues

· Doit posséder un permis de conduire valide
