Full job description

Every great service starts clean. The mise en place, the plates, the pots that carry the food guests will remember — none of it happens without someone who takes that responsibility seriously. We're looking for that person.

Buon Gusto is a scratch-kitchen Italian restaurant in Guelph where family-inspired recipes meet a team that genuinely looks out for one another. We believe the way we do anything is the way we do everything, and that the best kitchens run on trust, honesty, and people who show up ready to work. We're hiring a dishwasher who understands that the pit isn't the bottom of the kitchen — it's the foundation.

Responsibilities:

Keep the dish pit organized and running efficiently so the line never waits on clean product
Wash, sanitize, and return all dishes, smallwares, and cookware to spec and on time
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness throughout your area and across shared kitchen spaces
Support the BOH team during service by anticipating needs before they become problems
Assist with basic prep, sweeping, mopping, and end-of-night breakdown so the next crew walks into a clean kitchen
Communicate openly with your team, flagging low stock or equipment issues early
Show up ready to move — this role keeps pace with the whole kitchen
