Buckthorn Building Co. is a custom home building company serving Haliburton and the surrounding area. Our team is passionate about building beautiful spaces and delivering quality work from start to finish.

Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our growing team. We are looking to hire a licensed carpenter, a carpentry apprentice, or those looking to expand their knowledge in the skilled trades. Buckthorn Building Co. will also consider summer student applications.

Responsibilities

Assist with the construction of custom homes and renovation projects
Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including framing, finishing, siding, and general construction
Read and follow plans, measurements, and specifications
Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Work independently and collaboratively with team members and subcontractors
Report to work on time, on a daily basis

Qualifications

Licensed carpenter, registered apprentice, or relevant construction experience preferred
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Positive attitude and attention to detail
Reliable transportation to shop in Minden
Ability to lift and carry construction materials, up to 50 lbs, and work in a physically demanding environment
Experience in residential construction is considered an asset
