COORDINATOR OF DAY CAMPS AND FACILITY RENTALS

Location: Hillfield Strathallan College, Hamilton, Ontario

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Nustadia Recreation Inc., Canada’s leading operator of community recreation facilities for the municipal and educational sectors, is currently seeking a Coordinator of Day Camps and Facility Rentals for Hillfield Strathallan College (HSC). Located in Hamilton, Ontario, HSC is a premier independent school with state-of-the-art educational and athletic facilities on a beautiful 50-acre campus.

Position Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized, and experienced leader to join our Day Camp and Facility Rental Team. This dynamic role is ideal for someone who possesses a strong foundation in camp programming and childcare, combined with the logistical skills required to support the booking and execution of our facility rentals.The successful candidate will provide structured on-site leadership for seasonal day camps while serving as the primary administrative liaison for community rental groups and school staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Camp Operations: Provide on-site leadership, mentorship, and support for HSC Day Camp staff during the camp season
Program Execution: Support with the planning, execution, and growth of Day Camps, ensuring high program quality and strict policy compliance.
Rental Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for Facility Rental groups, coordinate bookings, and manage logistics for community rental groups.
Client Relations: Liaise seamlessly between College staff and rental clients to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service.
Event Support: Provide on-site coordination and support for tournaments and special events.
Administrative Support: Perform other administrative and leadership duties as assigned to support the efficiency of the department.

Qualifications and Experience:

Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience in Recreation & Leisure, Child & Youth Studies, or a related field
Demonstrated leadership experience within a camp, childcare, or youth recreation environment (required)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient with standard office software and the ability to adapt quickly to facility scheduling and registration platforms.
A clear Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) is required

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

In person
Monday to Friday schedule with flexibility to work days/afternoons/evenings as required
Weekends as required to support tournaments and special events
Ability to lift and transport equipment and supplies as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 per year
