Full job description

We are a privately owned real estate development and property management company with roots in Kamloops and more than 40 years of experience across British Columbia.

Since 1987, we have focused on building, owning, and managing high-quality commercial and multi-family residential properties that contribute positively to the communities we serve.

Our Kamloops residential portfolio now includes over 460 rental units, with additional developments underway. We are seeking an experienced Leasing & Tenant Relations Representative to join our on-site team and support the day-to-day leasing and tenant relations functions within a well-established, professional operating environment.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Leasing & Tenant Relations Representative to join our residential property management team in Kamloops. This role is the front-line customer service and leasing position for our portfolio, supporting prospective and current tenants throughout the full tenancy lifecycle, from first inquiry to move-out.

You will be responsible for leasing coordination, suite showings, tenant communication, inspections, and documentation, while working closely with the Tenancy & Administration Manager, Office Lead, and Maintenance team.

This position is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Compensation Note

Compensation will be offered within the stated salary range of $50,000–$65,000, based on relevant experience and demonstrated qualifications.
We are specifically seeking candidates with previous leasing, property management, or comparable customer-facing experience.

Key Responsibilities

Leasing & Applicant Processing

Respond promptly to leasing inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
Schedule and conduct professional suite showings.
Explain rental terms, building rules, amenities, parking, and utilities.
Prepare lease documentation and move-in packages for approved applications.
Track prospects and applications through the leasing workflow (Yardi)

Tenant Relations & Customer Service

Serve as the first point of contact for general tenant questions.
Provide clear, professional communication and follow-up.
Support tenant onboarding, renewals, and rent increase preparation.
Route maintenance requests appropriately through internal channels

Move-In / Move-Out & Inspections

Conduct move-in and move-out condition inspections with tenants.
Participate in quarterly inspections with maintenance staff.
Document findings accurately (notes and photos)
Assist with compliance follow-up and notice delivery.

Administrative & Seasonal Support

Maintain accurate leasing files and data entry.
Support marketing feedback, inquiry reporting, and competitor checks.
Assist with administrative and operations support during off-peak season.

What We’re Looking For

Experience in residential leasing, property management, or a similar role is required.
Strong in-person communication and organizational skills.
Comfortable handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
Professional, service-orientated approach to tenant relations.
Knowledge of the BC Residential Tenancy Act is an asset.
Experience with Yardi or similar systems is an asset.
