Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse's Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist nursing staff in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being of patients. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a solid understanding of medical terminology and basic nursing procedures. Bilingual candidates, especially those fluent in English and French, are highly encouraged to apply. The Nurse's Aide will play a vital role in supporting clinical operations and enhancing patient experiences through attentive care and efficient computer operation.

Responsibilities

Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility to promote comfort and independence
Support nursing staff with patient care tasks including vital signs monitoring and medication administration under supervision
Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook to record patient information and care activities
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of care plans
Utilize computer skills for data entry, scheduling, and managing medical records while adhering to confidentiality protocols
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient needs promptly and professionally
Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff
Assist with medical procedures as directed by licensed nursing personnel using appropriate medical terminology

Experience

Prior experience in acute care settings or nursing assistance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for new graduates or those new to healthcare roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general computer operation is essential for documentation and communication tasks
Bilingual abilities in English and French are considered a strong asset for effective communication with diverse patient populations
Strong organizational skills, time management capabilities, and excellent communication skills are necessary for success in this role
Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and patient care standards is desirable but training will be available for qualified candidates

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.37-$29.83 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
