KTI Utility Services Inc. is thrilled to announce a significant 20-month initiative—the Gas Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Project—now underway across Kelowna and surrounding areas. This critical project modernizes our gas metering infrastructure by upgrading existing gas meters to advanced, wireless-enabled devices or retrofitting current meters to support wireless communication.
As part of this exciting transformation, we are actively seeking motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our dedicated installer team. If you are an independent worker with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude who enjoys engaging with customers, we want to hear from you. In this role, you will play an essential part in upgrading legacy gas meters by installing new meters and radio transmitters that support wireless communication—contributing directly to the evolution of our gas system.

What would your day look like as a FSR with KTI?
- Installation and service work related to gas meters
- Installation of gas meters will be performed 90% outdoors, 10% indoors
- Installation of transmitters and associated equipment
- Recording old and new gas meter readings
- Coordinates installation scheduling and meet quality/quantity and safety requirements
- Digital data entry through an Electronic Work Order on a handheld device
- Self-management of assigned accounts to completion
- Working in compliance with Health and Safety Policy/Procedures
- Communicate updates to clients with top-notch customer service
- Any other duties which may be assigned to you from time to time by your manager
Who is our ideal candidate?
- Construction/Trades/Labourer: 1 year +
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
- Mechanical aptitude
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Able to stand on feet, bend or stoop for a prolonged period (90% outdoors, 10% indoors)
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Previous threaded pipe installation experience is an asset
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (N minimum)
- Mandatory clean criminal background check and driver record/abstract
- Willing to work outside in the heat and the cold
