Full job description

Job Description:

We are seeking friendly, reliable, and energetic individuals to join our events team as BANQUET/BISTRO SERVERS!

This position is being advertised to fill an existing vacancy within our organization.

As a Banquet/Bistro Server, you’ll play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences at weddings, corporate events, galas, and more. You would also work in the Battery Bistro, located at Fort Henry. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Please note that this is a dual role. You will be scheduled bistro serving shifts and banquet serving shifts.

Responsibilities:

Set up banquet rooms and tables according to event plans
Greet guests and respond to service requests promptly and professionally
Serve food and beverages during events following proper etiquette
Maintain cleanliness and organization of event spaces
Break down and clean up after events, including clearing tables and packing equipment
Collaborate with kitchen and event staff to ensure a smooth guest experience
Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:

Prior experience in food service or hospitality preferred, but not required
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Team-oriented, dependable, and detail-oriented
Bilingual in English and French is an asset
Driver’s License and/or ability to travel to different locations is an asset
Smart Serve Certification
