The Arborist Labourer Role Is for You If You:

Key Responsibilities

Assist with tree pruning, removal, and other tree care services at residential and commercial properties
Assist with the preparation and operation of trucks, heavy equipment, chainsaws, rigging systems, and other equipment
Perform job-site cleanup, including brush and wood removal, raking, and site remediation
Assist with equipment maintenance and complete daily equipment inspections
Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices
Receive training in the safe use of chainsaws, chippers, power tools, and hand tools
Develop knowledge and identification skills related to trees, shrubs, and other plant species
Follow instructions provided by the Lead Hand, Foreman, and Management
Maintain a professional and respectful approach when interacting with coworkers, customers, and the public

Skills & Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid Ontario G driver's licence is mandatory
DZ or ARZ licence considered a strong asset
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
Willingness to work toward becoming a certified arborist
Previous experience in arboriculture, landscaping, horticulture, or a related industry is considered an asset
Ability and willingness to work up to 50 hours per week, as required
Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout the region
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in physically demanding outdoor conditions
