Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Kitchener is a world-class manufacturer of precision machined aerospace components. We have an exciting opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Administrator. The Shipping and Receiving Administrator will use their organizational, clerical and customer service skills to meet deadlines and complete timely administrative functions required for logistics. This position is on-site, in person, with a Monday to Friday, day shift schedule.
Essential Responsibilities
Reporting to the Shipping and Receiving Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Administrator’s major activities and responsibilities include the following.
Daily Roles and Responsibilities
Receive raw material / Hardware / Outside Processing / Tool Crib / NPP products / Drop shipments
Create transmittal Documents and putting away shop cards in cabinet
Track, trace and file shipments
Act as primary back up to Shipping & Receiving Manager in their absence
Maintain yearly filing for customs
Creation of Customs Documentation for final ship and outside processors
Maintain daily shipping notes
Develop Government forms online – (CERS)
Book transportation carriers and complete BOL’s
Utilize customer portals to complete ASN for shipments
Create of labels on customer portals
Backup quarterly government reporting, and transportation invoice verification
Strong communication skills at all levels, including upper management, department heads, peers, manufacturing, engineering and customers
Other roles and responsibilities as assigned
Travel

Position Requirements
The minimum qualifications
High school Diploma
3-5 years of experience preferred
Knowledge of Excel would be an asset
Team Orientated
Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
Ability to communicate with multicultural people/setting
Strong time Management and organizational Skills
Post-secondary education in a relevant field is an asset
Strong PC skills, experience using Microsoft office suite of products
The physical requirements of this job are minimal. The daily routine will entail sitting at a desk, general walking to and from meetings and conducting regular floor walks along with inspection.
