Machine Operator Full-Time | 12-Hour Continental Shifts | Lakeshore, ON

Are you an experienced Machine Operator searching for a full-time position that offers steady hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term employment potential?

ACCU-STAFF is currently recruiting skilled and dependable Machine Operators for an established aluminum extrusion manufacturing facility in Lakeshore, Ontario.

As a Machine Operator, you'll be responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently while ensuring products meet required quality standards. Your day-to-day work will include operating machinery, monitoring equipment, performing quality inspections, making basic adjustments, and troubleshooting production concerns.

We're looking for individuals who are mechanically inclined, reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Shift Schedule

This opportunity follows a 12-hour continental rotating schedule:

Two weeks on day shift, followed by two weeks on night shift
Day Shift: 6:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Night Shift: 6:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m.
Every other weekend off
Full-time hours
Must have full availability for both day and night rotations

What You'll Be Doing

Set up, operate, and monitor aluminum extrusion and other production equipment
Monitor machinery throughout the shift to ensure safe and efficient operation
Make basic equipment adjustments to maintain production flow
Perform regular quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
Inspect finished products for defects, damage, inconsistencies, and other quality concerns
Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and specifications
Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and technical documentation
Accurately complete required production, inspection, and quality records
Troubleshoot basic machine and production issues
Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and potential safety hazards
Assist with material handling and other production duties when required
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and properly use required PPE
Work closely with team members to achieve daily production, quality, and safety goals

What We're Looking For

Previous Machine Operator experience in a manufacturing, automotive, industrial, or production setting
Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on abilities
Experience operating and monitoring industrial manufacturing equipment
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Ability to read and follow work orders, technical instructions, and established production procedures
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physically capable of standing and completing repetitive duties throughout a 12-hour shift
Ability to lift, move, and handle production materials as required
Excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability
Positive attitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
Must be available for 12-hour rotating day and night shifts
Reliable transportation is required, as the Lakeshore facility is not accessible by public transit
Forklift experience is considered an asset
Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, or production specifications is considered an asset
