About Us

Defy Martial Arts is a growing martial arts school dedicated to helping students develop confidence, discipline, respect, and perseverance through Taekwondo. Our mission is to create a positive and supportive environment where students can achieve their goals while building valuable life skills.

Position Overview

Defy Martial Arts is seeking a passionate and energetic Taekwondo Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, inspiring students, and making a positive impact through martial arts instruction.

Key Responsibilities

Lead engaging Taekwondo classes for students of various ages and experience levels.
Teach fundamental and advanced Taekwondo techniques, forms, sparring, and self-defense.
Create a positive, safe, and motivating training environment.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Reinforce the values of discipline, respect, focus, and perseverance.
Assist with belt testing, demonstrations, tournaments, and community events.
Communicate professionally with students, parents, and fellow team members.

Qualifications

Minimum 2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo.
Previous teaching, coaching, or leadership experience is preferred.
Strong communication and classroom management skills.
Positive attitude with the ability to motivate students.
Evening and weekend availability preferred.
First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.
