Full job description

About the Role

We are a warm and respectful family located in Brookswood, Langley looking for a reliable Punjabi and English speaking Household Assistant / Companion to help with light household tasks and provide companionship to our mother.

This is a part-time role with flexible daytime hours, ideal for someone who enjoys helping families, cooking, and keeping a home organized.

Approximately 12 hours per week. Please send a message explaining why you feel this is a good role and or fit for you otherwise we will not be able to reply to your application.

Responsibilities may include:

Light housekeeping and home organization
Laundry and folding clothes
Preparing healthy meals and meal preparation for family needs;
Grocery shopping
Running small errands (pharmacy, groceries, etc.)
Keeping the kitchen and common areas tidy
Providing friendly companionship and conversation with our mother
Occasional assistance around the home as needed

Requirements

Must speak fluent english - punjabi is helpful too
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Responsible, trustworthy, and organized
Comfortable assisting in a family home environment
Previous experience as a nanny, housekeeper, caregiver, or household assistant is an asset
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who:

Enjoys cooking and helping around the home
Is friendly, patient, and enjoys conversation
Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done
Is reliable and punctual

Compensation

Competitive hourly pay (based on experience)
Flexible daytime schedule. Monday Wednesday Friday 9-12 or 9-1 is preferred.
Friendly family environment

Working Hours

The shifts would be Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for 3 hours. Start and end times are flexible.
