Location: Liverpool YMCA

Summary

As a Casual Substitute Childcare Provider at the Liverpool YMCA, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and engaging environment for children. This position supports our mission of helping families and ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn, grow, and develop meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for children.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
Supervise children during playtime, meals, and educational activities.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
Support children with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a caregiving or educational setting is essential.
Knowledge of early childhood education principles is preferred.
Strong communication skills to engage effectively with children and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Compassionate and patient demeanor when interacting with children.

Additional Information

This is a casual substitute position.
Applicants with an NS Early Childhood Education (ECE) Classification will be paid according to the YMCA wage scale.
