Full job description

Founded by Stan Wlodarek & Ron Steeper, RS2000 Tax Consultants Inc. has been serving Southern Ontario since 1994. RS2000 provides an On-Location Tax Service by serving businesses at their home or place of business for their comfort, convenience, and confidentiality. We have a distributed network of Tax Professionals in select regions of the province whose dedication has been the driving force of our growth and we are looking for motivated and entrepreneurial individuals to join our team!

The Opportunity

RS2000 is looking for a full-time Senior Tax Account Manager for clients in your service area. This position involves visiting clients at their home or place of business, collecting data, and preparing T1 Personal and/or T2 Corporation tax returns in a timely and accurate manner. Specifics of the opportunity are as follows:

§ Travelling to client locations to review, gather, and prepare a variety of tax returns such as but not limited to: T1 Personal Returns, T2 Corporation Returns, T3 Estate Returns, and T4 and T5 slips.

§ Participating in a broad range of tax planning scenarios with the client, requiring significant analysis, assessment, and quantification at times.

§ Demonstrating the ability to understand the Income Tax Act and Regulations for various tax issues.

§ Responding to client requests and corresponding with clients to meet deadlines.

§ Collecting payment for services and ensuring timely receipt of outstanding accounts.

§ Completion of bookkeeping and preparation of financial statements to be used in the finalization of corporate tax returns as well as distribution to clients in their final tax packages.

§ Participation in company training sessions to further increase tax knowledge.

What You Bring to the Team

While full training will be provided for this role, it is recommended that the incumbent possesses the following in order to be successful:

§ Completion of or working towards the completion of a degree or diploma in Accounting, Business, or related field.

§ Excellent organization and time management skills, strong communication skills and an attention to detail.

§ Adaptability and willingness to work overtime and weekends during tax season as our clients’ schedules vary.

§ Have their own vehicle and is willing to travel.

§ Experience with bookkeeping using Sage or Quickbooks is an asset.

Job Expectations and Training

§ 1-2 years service inside the office on the west side of London, Ont. Learning Tax Prep and the office proceedures.

§ Personal Tax Preparation instructions inside RS 2000 Tax Consultants Inc processing.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $1,250.00-$2,400.00 per week
