1. Laboratory Duties:

· Assist with OR window during egg retrievals.

· Prepare supplies, labels, and documentation for next day procedures.

· Monitor and replenish general laboratory supplies.

· Transcribe data from lab worksheets into electronic medical records system.

· Supply preparation (prepare and label aliquots of media)

· Liquid nitrogen/dewar maintenance.

· Consult/liaise with clinical and administrative staff when necessary.

· Audit lot number log.

· Inventory laboratory supplies.

· Catalogue and rotate incoming supply orders.

· Participate in lab competency testing on relevant, applicable key processes.

· Any other duties as required or directed by Laboratory Director

2. General Office Duties

· Attend staff meetings as required and participate in staff projects.

· Reviews all applicable SOPs and Job Aids relating to their position to ensure they are current and up to date, as well as ensuring they are being adhered to.

· Schedule/book IVF/FET cycles when lab administrator is away.

· Adheres to the requirements of the Markham Fertility Centre Employee Handbook

Education and/or Experience

BSc or University Degree in Sciences. Experience related to this type of job is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

Compliance with maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.

Detail oriented.

Strong interpersonal skills

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 18 – 30/hours per week
