van Burck Seeds Ltd. is one of Saskatchewan’s oldest pedigreed seed farms and seed cleaning facilities. It is an innovative family run business and specializes in growing, cleaning, and processing cereals, oilseeds, and pulses. The van Burck Seeds business model focuses on three pillars:

seed cleaning & processing
retailing pedigree seed to local growers.

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Cleaning Plant Foreman position. This is a year round – full time position, and we do offer hours from 8-5 and generous time off during non-peak seasons if desired. A positive attitude and relentless work ethnic are essential to success. This role give you exposure to all aspects of the farm including crop production, seed replication, seed cleaning and seed retail.

Role & Responsibilities:

A Cleaning Plant Foreman will oversee the entire seed cleaning plant operation, help develop and implement schedules and procedures for inspections and preventive maintenance programs, direct the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems, oversee the installation, maintenance and repair including machinery, equipment and electrical and mechanical systems, record production information, operate equipment, maintain logs of production and other data, assist with making adjustments to processing variables, check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards, set up and adjust processing and packaging machines. Not required, but a benefit is someone also interested in agricultural activities such as seeding, spraying, harvesting in order to provide general support to field operations.

Driver’s license is a must
1A truck driver’s license is preferred but not required, long term training opportunities will be provided
High school diploma preferred, will train those new to the industry.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
