Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Packager to join our manufacturing team. This role involves preparing meat products for shipment by accurately packaging items, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse or manufacturing environments and possess mechanical aptitude to handle various tools and equipment efficiently.

Duties

Operate packaging machinery and hand tools to assemble and package meat products according to specifications
Inspect finished goods for quality assurance, ensuring packaging meets safety and quality standards
Use forklifts or other warehouse equipment to move raw materials or finished products as needed
Assist with assembly processes when required, supporting production flow
Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including organizing packaging supplies and tools
Follow safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of mechanical equipment and materials
Document packaging activities and report any issues or discrepancies to supervisors

Experience

Prior experience in a meat processing facility, warehouse.
Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus but not mandatory; training may be provided
Mechanical knowledge and experience using hand tools are advantageous
Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions precisely
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining safety standards
Experience with packaging, assembly, or related tasks in a manufacturing setting is desirable

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
