Position: Paint Prepper | Location: Milton, ON (401 & James Snow Parkway)

Duties:

Refinish, prepare & mask off transit bus & highway coach bodies using various sander and surface treatment equipment as well as air and power tools

Responsibilities:

Inspecting repaired body components to be painted and assuring they are properly prepared prior to the application of paint
Application of various body primers and epoxy’s
Feather edging of various components throughout bodies
Masking off various areas of the body from overspray
Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor

Job Requirements:

Under supervision, the successful candidate must be able to perform quality body refinishing techniques on transit bus and highway coaches
Job task planning & organizing
Written & verbal communication skills
Attention to detail, significant use of memory
Self-motivated, persistent & flexible
1-2 years auto/body refinishing experience is preferred
Vision abilities required include close, distance & color vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus
Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat & climb
Ability to lift 1-20 pounds (hand tools, small panels, etc.)
Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks
Possible exposure to toxic chemicals
Moderate noise levels
Respirators must be worn & other protective equipment may be required
May be required to work overtime (more than 45 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

We work out of a bright, clean, and modern shop full of state-of-the-art equipment. We have a great working environment that is non-unionized, with many long-term employees.

Our facility is just off the Highway 401 in Milton – easy commuter access.
Shifts are Monday to Friday from 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM - no nights or weekends!!!!
Work indoors during cold winter months
