About Us

STEMstein Academy is a growing STEM education center dedicated to inspiring students through engaging, hands-on learning. We offer programs in Mathematics, Science, Coding, Robotics, and Engineering for students from elementary to high school.

Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Math & Science Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, has a strong foundation in mathematics and science, and is committed to helping students build confidence and achieve academic success. This role involves delivering engaging, curriculum-based lessons, supporting diverse learning needs, and creating a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and lifelong learning.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Mathematics and Science to students from Grades 1–12 (based on qualifications and experience).
Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Ontario curriculum.
Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, classroom participation, and regular feedback.
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and individual student needs.
Provide one-on-one or small-group academic support when required.
Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment.
Maintain attendance, lesson plans, student progress reports, and other classroom records.
Incorporate technology and digital learning tools into classroom instruction.
Communicate professionally with parents regarding student progress and development.
Collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance curriculum and student learning experiences.

Qualifications

Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) is preferred.
Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) certification with relevant teaching or tutoring experience will also be considered.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Education, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
Previous teaching or tutoring experience in Mathematics and/or Science is preferred.
Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum is an asset.
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs or special education is an asset.
Comfortable using educational technology and digital learning platforms.
Passionate about helping students succeed in a fun and engaging learning environment.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.
