About the Position

A fast-growing freight forwarding company in Mississauga is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Operations Clerk / Customer Service Representative to join our team.

The successful candidate will support our ocean import and export operations, as well as air freight and ground transportation. This is a hands-on position that involves shipment coordination, customer communication, documentation, tracking and tracing, and working closely with carriers, truckers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and customers.

We are looking for someone who is organized, responsible, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Track and trace ocean LCL/FCL, air freight, and trucking shipments
Monitor shipment status and proactively follow up on delays or exceptions
Update shipment information, milestones, and notes in the company system
Prepare and maintain shipment reports and operational records
Respond to customer inquiries by telephone and email in a timely and professional manner
Coordinate and dispatch delivery/pickup orders to trucking companies
Submit required shipping and customs documentation to customs brokers
Follow up with carriers, terminals, truckers, overseas agents, and other service providers
Coordinate shipment arrangements and provide customers with timely status updates
Assist with import and export documentation and operational procedures
Identify and resolve routine shipment issues and escalate problems when necessary
Provide general administrative and operational support to the logistics team

Qualifications & Requirements

1–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or a related field is preferred
Good understanding of ocean, air, and ground transportation
Basic knowledge of Canadian customs and import/export procedures
Strong communication and customer service skills
Good written and verbal English communication skills
English and Chinese bilingual ability is preferred
Strong computer skills and the ability to learn logistics software and systems quickly
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize multiple shipments and tasks in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently while being a strong team player
Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong problem-solving skills
New graduates from International Transportation, Customs, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related programs are welcome to apply
