Based in Mississauga, Ontario, we have helped many organizations with their design engineering and software consulting needs.

Position Overview

Green PI Inc. is currently seeking a Proposal Writer with technical writing skills who can provide persuasive proposals for future opportunities and bids. The ideal candidate will be a reliable professional capable of managing aggressive deadlines while delivering high-quality work with meticulous attention to detail. Proposals will range from engineering services to IT projects. This is a permanent full-time position at our company, and we are seeking like-minded people to join our team.

The proposal writer's responsibilities include gathering information, formatting the information according to the company’s policies, obtaining supervisor approval, and sending the proposal to the appropriate source.

To be successful as a proposal writer, you should be able to articulate, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines. Ultimately, a top-notch proposal writer should be consistent, detail-oriented, and able to write in a factual, convincing manner.

Job Responsibilities:

Understand and be able to convey the vision of the company into proposal responses;
Review RFP, RFI, RFQ and bid opportunities and customize proposal templates and responses based on specifications. This may include reviewing products, services, and/or business ideas, along with maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following company policies.
Write, develop and edit end-to-end proposal content for various RFPs/RFQs/RFI/SOWs;
Incorporate previously developed content into presentations and proposals, customizing as necessary;
Work on multiple deadlines and schedules concurrently to maintain a 100% on-time proposal delivery. This may include creating strategies for convincing others to take appropriate action;
Attending meetings and identifying opportunities for proposal writing;
Editing and revising proposals according to feedback;
Working with the design team to create graphics and visuals for projects;
Supporting all efforts to increase proposal win rates;
Managing and ensuring company brand guidelines throughout responses;
Other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements:

Previous technical writing and editing experience (1 year – required);
Background in business communications, journalism or marketing would be considered an asset;
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and a key interest in staying current in web technologies;
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) coupled with the ability to excel at converting detailed information into clear and precise proposals;
Analytical skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy;
Organizational skills and ability to maintain working files and revisions of documents.
Exercise excellent judgment, be highly ethical and have discretion with confidential information.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment; ability to multitask and prioritize while working under pressure and dealing with large volumes of work, and work well in a team environment oriented to production.
Self-starter who can independently manage time and resources to meet aggressive deadlines.
Ability to learn quickly, with flexibility to work beyond standard business hours on occasion.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Architectural, IT or a technical field -science or math. (Required)
