Full job description

Skipper Jack’s is seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy, high-volume restaurant.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage a fast-paced team, strengthen operational systems, control costs, and maintain consistently high standards of food and service. The General Manager will work closely with our on-site ownership team, providing regular updates and collaborating on operational priorities, improvements, and growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations
Work closely with the on-site ownership team
Lead, train, schedule, and support front and back-of-house teams
Implement efficient systems and operating procedures
Manage staffing levels, labour costs, and team productivity
Oversee inventory, ordering, shipping, and receiving
Monitor food costs, waste, sales, and overall profitability
Maintain high standards for service, food quality, cleanliness, and safety
Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently
Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and operational needs with our sister business, Fisherman’s Corner Seafood Market
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and support continued business growth

Qualifications

Previous restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with labour control, inventory management, purchasing, and restaurant financials
Ability to implement processes, improve efficiencies, and hold teams accountable
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
