Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst specializing in Accounting and Finance Solutions to join our dynamic team.

The Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing the client's context and business needs or processes within the framework of medium-complexity projects that may require integration across one or more business areas. They interact with stakeholders, users, and contributors and are responsible for ensuring the overall alignment of projects with business needs and organizational objectives. They identify, design, and recommend business solutions and analyze their impact on the organization. Within projects, they collaborate in defining business objectives, define the scope of solutions, and support the project manager in key decision-making. They are responsible for ensuring the alignment of solutions with business objectives and operational needs. They are also responsible for the end-to-end integration of business solutions, from the business requirements definition phase through to deployment.

The consultant works closely with a Business Architect, business experts, project manager, sponsor, integration solutions architect, and delivery teams. He is involved in the entire implementation cycle of the solutions and must ensure that all stakeholders understand the solution.

The mandate will focus more specifically on the evolution of business processes and the Oracle accounting software packages that support them for the property and casualty insurance finance sector. We are looking for a very senior business professional in the accounting/finance field, capable of demonstrating leadership and influence, in addition to a minimum of four years in a proven business analyst role.

Main Responsibilities:

Analyze situations to understand organizational problems and seize opportunities

Map current and target business processes
Influence financial processes based on best market practices
Support stakeholders and ensure their buy-in to project requirements
Support the identification of business value
Verify, validate, and manage the traceability of business needs
Align the solution with business objectives
Identify internal and external prerequisites and dependencies
Analyze the impacts on stakeholders
Communicate and present the solution
Evaluate and validate the effectiveness of a solution in relation to needs and requirements
Ensure a comprehensive view of the solution

Required knowledge and skills:

Bachelor's degree
ESSENTIAL: A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, and financial systems
ESSENTIAL: A minimum of 4 years of experience in a business analyst role
Knowledge of Oracle financial software packages (ERP Cloud, EBS, EPM Cloud, Hyperion) is an asset
Knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry is an asset
Accounting designation is an asset.

Le consultant travaille en étroite collaboration avec un architecte métier, des experts métier, un chef de projet, un sponsor, un architecte de solutions d'intégration et les équipes de déploiement. Il intervient tout au long du cycle de mise en œuvre des solutions et doit s'assurer que toutes les parties prenantes comprennent la solution.

Le mandat portera plus spécifiquement sur l'évolution des processus métier et des progiciels de comptabilité Oracle qui les sous-tendent pour le secteur financier de l'assurance dommages. Nous recherchons un professionnel du métier très expérimenté dans le domaine de la comptabilité/finance, capable de faire preuve de leadership et d'influence, et justifiant d'au moins quatre ans d'expérience confirmée en tant qu'analyste métier.

Principales responsabilités :

Analyser les situations pour comprendre les problèmes organisationnels et saisir les opportunités
Identifier, analyser, documenter et valider les besoins et exigences métiers de l'organisation
Cartographier les processus métiers actuels et cibles
Influencer les processus financiers en s'appuyant sur les meilleures pratiques du marché
Accompagner les parties prenantes et obtenir leur adhésion aux exigences du projet
Contribuer à l'identification de la valeur ajoutée pour l'entreprise
Vérifier, valider et gérer la traçabilité des besoins métiers
Aligner la solution sur les objectifs commerciaux
Identifier les prérequis et dépendances internes et externes
Analyser les impacts sur les parties prenantes
Communiquer et présenter la solution
Évaluer et valider l'efficacité de la solution au regard des besoins et exigences
Garantir une vision globale de la solution
