Full job description

Pigeon Cafe is opening in the Old Port. We're looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Barista to join our team. If you're passionate about specialty coffee, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and take pride in providing exceptional service, we'd love to meet you.

At Pigeon, we believe every drink is an opportunity to brighten someone's day. We're looking for someone who is friendly, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative team.

What You'll Do

Prepare and serve a variety of espresso-based beverages, coffee, tea, and other specialty drinks with consistency and care.
Deliver warm, attentive, and professional customer service to every guest.
Take orders accurately and operate the POS system, handling cash and card transactions responsibly.
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked coffee station throughout your shift.
Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure quality and consistency.
Assist with food and beverage preparation as needed while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Work closely with teammates to keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
Help with opening, closing, and general café maintenance.

What We're Looking For

Minimum 2 years of barista experience is required.
Experience preparing espresso-based beverages and steaming milk consistently.
A passion for coffee, hospitality, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
Knowledge of food safety and safe food handling practices.
Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
