The Senior Communications Advisor plays a key role in internal communication strategy, supporting the Director of Communications across transformation initiatives, corporate priorities, leadership messaging, internal channels and employee engagement. This position ensures that employees are well-informed, engaged and aligned with the company’s transformation and strategic objectives.
This role works closely with the Director of Communications and internal stakeholders to support organizational communications, leadership messaging, employee engagement and the development of effective internal communication platforms. The Senior Communications Advisor will also help strengthen how information is structured, shared and accessed across the organization, including through SharePoint-based corporate and communications spaces.

What you will accomplish with us:
Internal Communications
- Develop and implement internal communication strategies to support transformation, employee engagement and organizational change.
- Collaborate with the Change Management Lead to ensure communications align with change initiatives and drive employee adoption.
- Lead storytelling and narrative development to highlight successful transformation efforts and employee contributions.
- Provide communications support for employee engagement activities, town halls, leadership meetings, etc.
Support to the Director of Communications
- Serve as a trusted partner to the Director of Communications, supporting high-priority communication needs across transformation, corporate initiatives, leadership messaging and internal engagement.
- Draft, edit and refine executive messages, employee communications, presentations, reports, briefing materials and other communications requiring strong judgment, clarity and polish.
- Help manage cross-functional communication requests, timelines and deliverables, ensuring messages are aligned, well-coordinated and ready for leadership or employee audiences.
Project Communications
- Lead and execute communications for major projects and transformation initiatives, ensuring clarity of purpose, stakeholder alignment and consistent messaging across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Develop project communication plans, timelines and materials that support adoption, mitigate risks and keep employees and leaders informed.
- Internal Channels, SharePoint and Newsletter Management
- Build, structure and maintain SharePoint-based communication platforms, including a corporate SharePoint site and a dedicated Communications SharePoint space.
- Create and manage clear, well-organized pages, navigation, document libraries and content structures that make information easy for employees to find and use.
- Plan, create and manage internal newsletters, including editorial planning, content gathering, drafting, layout, publishing, distribution and performance tracking.
Content Development & Strategic Messaging
- Produce compelling internal content for newsletters, intranet updates, transformation reports and employee engagement platforms.
- Translate complex policies and corporate initiatives into engaging communications that resonate with employees.
- Ensure messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with the organization’s culture and transformation vision.
Performance Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of internal communications and transformation-related messaging.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to refine communication strategies and increase engagement.
- Continuously improve communication processes to enhance clarity, accessibility and employee engagement.
Other Communications Support (As Needed)
- Provide additional communication support for corporate initiatives, employee engagement campaigns and internal messaging needs.
- Assist in sustainability, policy or governance-related messaging as required, ensuring alignment with corporate values and transformation goals.
What You Bring to Our Team:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field or related experience.
Experience: 7+ years in corporate communications, internal communications, or related field.
Exceptional Writing & Editing Skills: Ability to translate complex policies and corporate strategies into engaging and accessible employee communications.
Strong SharePoint, Newsletter and Internal Communication Platform Skills: Practical experience building and maintaining SharePoint sites, creating user-friendly pages and navigation, managing document libraries and producing internal newsletters from planning through publication. Experience with internal communication platforms, content governance and employee engagement channels is a strong asset.
Strong Stakeholder Management: Experience working with executives, department heads and cross-functional teams on projects.
Project Communications Expertise: Demonstrated experience developing and executing communication plans for complex projects or organizational initiatives, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams, anticipate stakeholder needs and translate project milestones into clear, engaging employee communications.
Experience in Complex Organizations is a strong asset.
Bilingual (French & English) preferred: Strong command of both languages as the role requires daily interactions with stakeholders in all across Canada.
Base Salary Range: $110,000 – $120,000 annually
- Supplemental Pay Types: Annual bonus
The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with applicable regulations.
