Seeking Position: Food Auditor / Quality Assurance (1/2 Remote)

If yes, Medina Quality is seeking charismatic, observant, self-disciplined and articulate applicants to join its audit team. Half the time you will be travelling the world and when you are not travelling you will be working from home!

Medina Quality is a Food Assurance Service Company, dedicated to partnering with food companies to help protect the health and well being of food consumers and to protect, strengthen and promote our clients' brands. The company works with food producers, airlines, railways and large scale food buyers to develop, implement and manage food safety and quality management programmes.

Please note that candidates not holding valid Canadian passports will not be considered for this role.

Medina Quality (“MQ”) works with its industry partners to develop, organize and execute effective and cost-efficient food safety and quality assurance management systems. These services include conducting audits of kitchens worldwide, based on a global standard and MQ’s experience and expertise.

Candidates applying must be available, able, and enthusiastic to travel internationally for at least 14 days per month for 12 months a year. For the remaining working days in each month, MQ Auditors will work with the Head Office Team in Montreal, QC, to review and develop audit corrective action plans, conduct remote audits (e-Audits), plan future audit trips and benefit from on-going skills and knowledge training.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

A valid Canadian passport is mandatory for this position. If you do not have a valid Canadian Passport do not apply, your application will not be considered;
A university degree in the field(s) of food science, nutrition, dietetics, microbiology, or other fields related to food safety, hygiene or quality;
Relevant work experience in the field of food safety or food manufacturing/production, with basic awareness of HACCP. Over five (5) years of food manufacturing or food safety experience is a significant asset;
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Strong observation and analytical skills;
The ability to effectively and efficiently manage a heavy workload and to meet strict deadlines;
The ability to work effectively and efficiently with minimal supervision and occasionally outside of normal office hours (evening/night)
Strong interpersonal skills;
The ability to adapt easily to new environments and cultures;
Food Safety auditing experience is a significant asset
