Export Customer Service Representative

Location: Montreal, Quebec

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Export Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and managing export documentation for ocean freight shipments, ensuring seamless service for assigned clients and consignees. The position involves document verification, invoicing, and daily communication with clients and carriers to deliver timely updates and exceptional service.

This is an in-office position, Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, verify, and maintain shipping documents for export shipments
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to shipments
Communicate with clients and carriers by phone and email
Monitor the movement of goods across international borders, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and facilitating on-time delivery.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and addressing any concerns or special requests.
Provide customers with timely and accurate updates on their shipments, including any changes or delays.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience reviewing, verifying and preparing documentation
Prior experience in logistics or export customer service
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
CIFFA certification is considered an asset

Responsabilités principales

Préparer, vérifier et maintenir les documents d’expédition pour les envois à l’exportation
Résoudre les problèmes liés aux expéditions de manière proactive
Communiquer avec les clients et les transporteurs par téléphone et par courriel
Suivre le déplacement des marchandises à l’international, en veillant au respect des règlements en vigueur et à la livraison ponctuelle
Établir et maintenir des relations solides et durables avec les clients en leur offrant un service hors pair et en répondant à leurs demandes spécifiques
Fournir aux clients des mises à jour exactes et rapides sur leurs envois, incluant tout changement ou retard

Qualifications et expérience

Expérience en révision, vérification et préparation de documents
Une expérience en logistique ou en service à la clientèle à l’export est un atout
Excellentes compétences en organisation et souci du détail
Excellentes compétences en communication, à l’oral comme à l’écrit
Maîtrise de Microsoft Office, en particulier Excel et Outlook
Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches dans un environnement dynamique
La certification CIFFA est considérée comme un atout
