Full job description

Transport Bourassa est un chef de file dans le domaine du transport et de l’entreposage. Afin de soutenir notre croissance, nous sommes à la recherche d’un Directeur Sécurité routière et conformité reconnu pour son leadership, sa rigueur et sa capacité à mobiliser les équipes.

Relevant du Vice-président, vous serez responsable de la stratégie, de la conformité réglementaire et du développement d’une culture de sécurité à travers l’organisation.

Vos principales responsabilités

Diriger et mobiliser l’équipe de la sécurité et de la conformité;
Assurer la conformité aux exigences fédérales, provinciales et américaines (DOT/FMCSA);
Superviser les enquêtes d’accidents, les réclamations et les dossiers disciplinaires liés à la sécurité;
Développer et mettre en œuvre les programmes de prévention et de formation;
Conseiller les gestionnaires et accompagner les chauffeurs dans l’amélioration de leurs pratiques;
Mettre en place des indicateurs de performance et recommander des pistes d’amélioration continue;
Participer activement au développement d’une culture de sécurité forte au sein de l’entreprise.

Le profil recherché

Expérience significative en gestion dans le secteur du transport;
Excellente connaissance de la sécurité routière et de la conformité réglementaire;
Leadership mobilisateur et fortes aptitudes en communication;
Capacité d’analyse, de prise de décision et de gestion des priorités;
Bilinguisme (français et anglais), tant à l’oral qu’à l’écrit afin de communiquer avec des partenaires et organismes réglementaires au Canada et aux États-Unis;

Transport Bourassa is a leader in the transportation and warehousing industry. To support our continued growth, we are seeking a Director, Road Safety & Compliance who is recognized for their leadership, attention to detail, and ability to engage and motivate teams.

Reporting to the Vice President, you will be responsible for developing and leading the company's road safety and regulatory compliance strategy while fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and inspire the Road Safety and Compliance team;
Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and U.S. regulations, including DOT/FMCSA requirements;
Oversee accident investigations, claims management, and safety-related disciplinary matters;
Develop and implement safety prevention, compliance, and training programs;
Advise managers and coach drivers to continuously improve safe driving practices;
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend continuous improvement initiatives;
Play an active role in promoting and strengthening a company-wide culture of safety.

Qualifications

Significant management experience within the transportation industry;
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and transportation compliance requirements;
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams;
Excellent analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills;
Bilingual (French and English), both written and spoken, to communicate effectively with partners and regulatory agencies across Canada and the United States
