Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, and creating a welcoming environment for all shoppers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for helping customers find what they need. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are highly valued to enhance the shopping experience for diverse clientele.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions, returns, and exchanges
Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments with accuracy and integrity
Provide product information, demonstrations, or upselling opportunities to enhance sales
Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability
Answer customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes
Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies
Support team members with additional tasks as needed to ensure excellent customer service

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish) are a plus
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product demos is advantageous
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Work Location: In person
