Full job description

Get to Know Us:
PFM Packaging Machinery Corporation is part of the PFM Group, with operations in Europe, North America and other parts of the world. PFM design and manufacture world class machinery for flexible packaging in both food and non-food industries.

This position is based in Ontario and subject to the Ontario Employment Standards Act, 2000.

The Role:

As the Senior Accounting Clerk, your main duties will include (but not be limited to):

Perform accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Conduct account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
Do service work order summary and invoice
Yearend assistance as required
Invoice machine progress payments and final payment
Checking expense reports and AP invoice postings for accuracy
Assist Accounting Supervisor with day to day operations
Provide guidance and training to accounting administrators
Backup for phone coverage and bank deposits as needed

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess an accounting degree or equivalent. We are looking for someone with 3 years or more accounting experience, preferably with supervisory duties.

Core skills should include:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, and payroll processes
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments
High accuracy and attention to detail
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Strong knowledge of full cycle accounting
Experience with intercompany transactions for a US subsidiary is an asset
