Full job description

A heavy civil construction group in Niagara Falls, ON, is hiring a certified 310T Licensed Fleet Mechanic to handle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for on-site trucks and heavy machinery. Ideal candidates are experienced in fleet maintenance and skilled with hydraulics, electrical, and diesel systems. Apply now to join a stable, day-shift role with overtime available!

Duties & Responsibilities:

Inspect and diagnose vehicles, equipment, and components for defects, damage, or wear.
Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and preventative maintenance repairs.
Order and track required parts and ensure timely procurement.
Maintain accurate records, including daily maintenance logs and repair cost estimates.
Test vehicles post-repair to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
Ensure all vehicles meet provincial inspection standards and safety regulations.
Work in both shop and outdoor environments, including exposure to weather.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Valid 310T Truck and Coach Technician Certification with a clean driver’s license.
- 3+ years of experience servicing trucks and/or heavy equipment.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, service manuals, and repair procedures.
- Ability to lift heavy components and work in physically demanding environments.
Preferred:
- Experience with snow removal equipment and related control systems ., salters, spreaders, loaders, graders, and backhoes.
- Familiarity with electronic and hydraulic systems.

#SJ1 Compensation:

$35.00 – $45.00/hour to start, based on previous experience, certifications, and training.
Annual performance-based bonus.
