We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Operator’s Assistant to join our lamination department. This entry-level role provides hands-on training in preparing materials, supporting machine operation, inspecting finished products, and maintaining an efficient work area. As your knowledge and skills develop, you will have the opportunity to progress toward independently setting up and operating your own vinyl lamination machine.
What You’ll Do
- Assist the Machine Operator with daily setup and operation of vinyl lamination equipment.
- Prepare vinyl films, window and door components, adhesives, and other required materials.
- Load and unload components while keeping production moving efficiently.
- Review work orders and confirm the correct profiles, colours, and finishes.
- Inspect finished products for bubbles, wrinkles, alignment problems, and other defects.
- Learn machine settings, changeovers, adjustments, and basic troubleshooting.
- Clean the machine and surrounding work area and assist with routine maintenance.
- Handle and organize materials carefully to prevent damage.
- Follow production schedules, quality standards, and all health and safety procedures.
- Develop the skills required to advance into an independent Vinyl Lamination Operator position.
