Account Executive – Halifax, NS

Nova Staffing Inc. on behalf of a valued client

Are you a driven sales professional who enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and helping organizations grow? Our client is seeking an Account Executive to manage an established portfolio of business clients while identifying and securing new opportunities throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality.

This role offers the opportunity to work independently, build a strong client base, and earn additional income through commissions and performance incentives. The successful candidate will be joining a respected organization that provides industry-leading products, extensive support, and opportunities for long-term career growth. The position is covering a maternity leave, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

Compensation

Salary: $65,000 - $70,000 annually
1% sales commission
Quarterly bonus program
$500/month vehicle allowance
$50/month cell phone allowance

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow an existing portfolio of business clients.
Develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and relationship building.
Meet with business owners and decision-makers to present marketing and advertising solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized campaigns and solutions for clients.
Attend networking events, Chamber of Commerce functions, and community business events.
Maintain accurate records of prospecting activity, customer interactions, and sales opportunities within the CRM system.
Follow up consistently with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities.
Achieve established sales targets while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

Proven success in B2B sales, account management, business development, or a related field.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
Comfortable using technology, CRM systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Professional, confident, and customer-focused approach.
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
Media, advertising, or marketing sales experience is considered an asset.

Expectations

Prospect and engage with approximately 20-30 potential clients per week through various sales methods.
Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records.
Participate in regular sales meetings, training sessions, and one-on-one coaching meetings.
Provide timely responses to client inquiries and business opportunities.
Travel within the region as required for client meetings, networking events, and training.
