Job Responsibilities:

Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
Address customers' complaints or concerns
Professionalism in customer service
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive combination of trucks and trailers to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Transport and handle dangerous goods

Job Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, applicants must:
Have no less than 3 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Be comfortable with cross-border and long-haul.
Be physically present in Halifax to complete the hiring process (road test & in-person interview).
Be willing to undergo background checks, drug testing, and other necessary screenings.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Competitive Pay & Benefits:

$0.55-$0.58 per mile for Canada Wide and $0.60-$0.63 per mile for USA. ( based on Experience)
