Our hospital is equipped with modern technology to help us provide high-quality patient care, including digital radiography, digital dental radiography, therapeutic laser therapy, in-house blood and urine analyzers, and advanced anesthetic monitoring equipment. We believe in utilizing our RVTs to their full potential and providing opportunities to work hands-on in a variety of areas throughout the hospital.
Both hospitals offer the opportunity for clients to be present with their pet during recovery from anesthesia, and VetWell permits them to stay during procedures as well. We believe that this option fosters greater trust and strengthens the relationship between our team and our client families.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team part-time for now, with the potential for developing the role into a permanent, more full-time role over time.
This position offers the opportunity to utilize your technical skills fully while building meaningful relationships with clients and their pets. You'll work alongside a supportive team that values communication, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Your Role:
- Assisting veterinarians with appointments and procedures
- Monitoring anesthesia and supporting surgical patients
- Providing treatments and nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Performing technician appointments
- Educating clients on pet health and preventive care
- Collaborating with the veterinary team to provide exceptional patient care
Our Ideal Candidate:
- A Diploma in Veterinary Technology
- Registration as an RVT or eligibility for registration
- Strong communication and client education skills
- Excellent attention to detail
