British Swim School of Halton is seeking a patient, gentle, and reliable Swim Instructor / Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis (15–20 hours per week). This role offers a wonderful opportunity to teach life-saving swimming skills to infants, toddlers, young children, and adults in a supportive, low-stress, and professional environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Instruction: Conduct swimming lessons tailored to different age groups. This includes using a gentle, playful approach with infants and toddlers, and a reassuring, empathetic approach with adult learners.
- Safety & Supervision: Supervise swim sessions to ensure the absolute safety of all participants. Enforce safety rules and respond promptly and calmly to any pool-deck needs.
- Operations: Assist with setting up and maintaining pool areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper equipment use. Support the overall organization of classes.
- Engagement: Provide clear, age-appropriate instruction and encouragement. Foster a positive, inclusive, and trusting environment that builds confidence in both young children and adult students.
Qualifications & Qualities
- Nurturing & Empathetic Demeanor: A gentle, patient, and warm approach, with a natural ability to connect with infants, toddlers, and anxious adult learners.
- Life Experience & Maturity: Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional reliability, and the communication skills required to coach adults with dignity while keeping children engaged and safe.
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a Swim Instructor (Required). Previous experience working directly with infants, toddlers, or young children is highly preferred.
- Licence/Certification: National Lifeguard (NL) certification (Required).
- Willingness to Travel: 50% travel within the local Halton area (Preferred).
