POSITION: Creative Copywriter & Content Creator

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION. REMOTE WORKING IS NOT AN OPTION.

THE POSITION

We are searching for a copywriter who embraces the world of advertising through the lens of creative writing, primarily through social media, email marketing and digital advertising. This person is seeking to build a long-lasting career in the advertising industry within Well Known and grow both personally and professionally in years to come.

The copywriter will be the voice that communicates a client's brand, offer and promise to their target audience. Their copywriting will be creative but grounded in a clear strategy that ultimately fulfills the client's business objectives. They must write from a strategic mindset. Moreover, they will help lead the direction of the client's voice, sales pitch, public comms, proofing, editing, and the creation of truly remarkable content, in collaboration with the rest of the team!

This person must work with multiple team members, accept direction from others, and bring ideas to the table at the same time. They must be flexible and yet confident, humble yet sure of themselves.

With the right person in place, they will find opportunities for growth for our clients. They will always remain hungry for more information and have a passion for growing the business of each client they manage, constantly pushing the envelope for better outcomes. Most importantly, the Copywriter must take on the role with enthusiasm, ambition, and a palpable level of seriousness.

High-Level

Raise the bar continually for writing fresh copy that connects with a desired audience and drives action
Be adept at varying the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry, company, or target audience
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communications and client-related industry trends
Stay current on the appropriate style guidelines and brand voice for consistent messaging
Understand when and how to use AI tools to assist in their role.
Be able to take direction from and work closely with Senior Account Executives, Account Managers, Social Media Managers and Graphic Designers

Responsibilties

Develop taglines and slogans
Develop ad copy for campaigns
Write social media content and META ad content
Write email marketing communications
Write press releases
Write for digital and print ads
Create copy for promotional materials: brochures, catalogues, rack cards
Write copy for websites
Proofread social media and email content, including artwork
Bring forward any brand issues, overall messaging conflicts and discrepancies
Oversee all platforms, including Google, for profile updates, updates of business hours and operational changes and provide managers with copy for updates
Utilize scheduling platforms such as Hopper HQ and Basecamp
Attend marketing meetings with clients
Attend internal WK team meetings

Qualifications:

Excel in copywriting

Degree in English

Degree or Diploma in the field of marketing or communications

Minimum of 2 years of copywriting experience for commercial accounts

Position: Full-Time / Permanent / In-Office / Monday - Friday

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
