Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic multi-disciplinary healthcare team consisting of Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Chiropractic Sports Specialists, Kiniesologists, Massage Therapists and a Sports Medicine Physician.

As a Medical Administrative Assistant your organizational skills and friendly demeanor will keep our practice running smoothly! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage appointment scheduling, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Your proactive approach will support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining an efficient office environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise within a fast-paced medical setting.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors warmly, creating a welcoming atmosphere at the front desk
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using an electronic medical records system
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details with precision
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including an online patient booking portal, faxes, email & SMS.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient visits, billing information, and office activities
Support practitioners by scheduling appointments according to prescribed treatment plans, updating records, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Our clinic is open from 7:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. The successful canidate will be required to work 2 - 3 evenings per week, with a possiblity of adding 2 Saturday mornings each month.

Experience

Prior experience working in health care environment, or experience with multi-disciplinary care is an asset
Demonstrated office experience handling multi-line phone systems and administrative tasks
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and scheduling, and multitasking is a necessity
Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and team members
Experience handling accounts receiveable/accounts payable an asset
