Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)

Location: Ottawa, Ontario

About Us: Clini-Derma Ottawa is a state-of-the-art dermatology center that provides comprehensive medical and surgical dermatology services. Our offerings include advanced Mohs surgeries, general dermatology, minor surgical procedures, and a wide range of cosmetic procedures utilizing lasers and injectables. We are committed to delivering excellent patient care and are looking for a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to join our supportive and dynamic team.

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Practical Nurse to play a crucial role in our busy dermatology clinic. The ideal candidate will provide essential support across various aspects of our practice, ensuring seamless patient flow, efficient surgical assistance, and exceptional care. This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist dermatologists and surgeons during various dermatological procedures, including Mohs surgeries, minor excisions, and cosmetic treatments (lasers, injectables).
Prepare examination and procedure rooms, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready for use.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education and support.
Perform comprehensive wound care and provide clear post-procedure instructions to patients.
Maintain accurate and meticulous patient records within our Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
Manage patient flow, assist with scheduling, and ensure a smooth clinic operation.
Adhere strictly to all clinic policies, procedures, and infection control protocols.
Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Manage and maintain inventory of medical tools, supplies, and clinic stock.

Qualifications:

Current registration in good standing as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
Proven experience assisting in surgical procedures, preferably in a dermatology or surgical setting.
Demonstrated expertise in wound care management.
Proficiency in working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
Experience with phlebotomy for adults and children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Assets (Preferred Qualifications):

Fluency in English and French.
