Nous recherchons un(e) aide-d’activités dévoué(e) et bienveillant(e) pour se joindre à notre équipe. Ce poste consiste à soutenir les résidents en leur proposant des activités récréatives stimulantes, en favorisant les interactions sociales et en améliorant leur qualité de vie globale. Le candidat idéal aura de l’expérience auprès des aînés, des personnes en situation de handicap ou de celles nécessitant des soins liés à la démence, et possédera d’excellentes aptitudes en communication pour établir des liens significatifs avec les résidents.

Responsabilités

Planifier, organiser et animer une variété d’activités récréatives et sociales adaptées aux intérêts et aux besoins des résidents.
Aider les résidents à participer à des activités qui favorisent leur bien-être physique, mental et émotionnel.
Collaborer avec les membres de l’équipe de soins pour cerner les préférences individuelles et élaborer des plans d’activités personnalisés.
Maintenir un environnement sécuritaire et accueillant pendant toutes les activités, en veillant au respect des protocoles de sécurité.
Consigner la participation et les progrès des résidents, et fournir des commentaires à l’équipe de soins au besoin.
Aider les résidents ayant des difficultés de mobilité ou d’autres besoins de soutien pendant les activités afin d’assurer leur confort et leur sécurité.
Favoriser une atmosphère inclusive qui encourage la socialisation, l’autonomie et l’engagement chez les résidents.

Exigences

Une expérience préalable dans des résidences-services, des foyers de soins ou des établissements de soins pour aînés est fortement privilégiée.
Une expérience de travail auprès de personnes ayant un handicap ou atteintes de démence constitue un atout.
Solides compétences en matière de soins, combinées à d’excellentes aptitudes en communication pour établir des liens efficaces avec des résidents issus de divers horizons.
Connaissance des pratiques exemplaires en matière de soins aux aînés, y compris la planification d’activités et les stratégies d’engagement des résidents.
Capacité à travailler en collaboration au sein d’une équipe multidisciplinaire tout en faisant preuve de patience et d’empathie.
Flexibilité pour adapter les activités en fonction des besoins individuels et de l’évolution des circonstances.
Une véritable passion pour l’amélioration de la vie des aînés grâce à des interactions et des activités enrichissantes.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and facilitate a variety of recreational and social activities tailored to residents’ interests and needs.
Support residents in participating in activities that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Collaborate with care team members to identify individual preferences and develop personalized activity plans.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during all activities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Document resident participation and progress, providing feedback to the care team as needed.
Assist residents with mobility or other support requirements during activities to ensure comfort and safety.
Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages socialization, independence, and engagement among residents.

Requirements

Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or senior care environments is highly preferred.
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or those affected by dementia is advantageous.
Strong caregiving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to connect effectively with residents of diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of senior care best practices, including activity planning and resident engagement strategies.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating patience and empathy.
Flexibility to adapt activities based on individual needs and changing circumstances.
A genuine passion for enhancing the lives of seniors through meaningful interactions and activities.
