Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an Arborist Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful trees and landscapes. This energetic position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in tree care, landscaping, and horticulture while supporting skilled arborists in their daily tasks. You will assist with a variety of outdoor projects, ensuring safety and efficiency as you help beautify communities and promote healthy ecosystems. Whether you're just starting your growing experience or looking to deepen your knowledge of landscape maintenance, this paid position is designed to foster your professional development in a lively, supportive environment.

Duties

Assist with tree trimming, pruning, and planting to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal
Support arborists with rigging operations, including setting up ropes and pulleys for safe tree work
Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access high branches safely and efficiently
Help with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general site cleanup
Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with mapping and site planning projects
Support tree care projects by preparing equipment, handling tools, and ensuring safety protocols are followed
Contribute to ongoing landscape projects by assisting with planting beds, irrigation setup, and soil preparation

Experience

Prior experience or growing interest in tree care, horticulture, or landscaping is preferred but not required
Familiarity with bucket operation and rigging techniques is a plus
Basic knowledge of GIS technology or willingness to learn is advantageous
Hands-on experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or gardening activities is beneficial
Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions are essential
Demonstrated commitment to safety practices when working at heights or with heavy equipment
