Beaconsfield Golf Club is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Maître d'Hôtel to join the Food & Beverage Management team.

Maître d’Hôtel Position at Beaconsfield Golf Club

POSITION SUMMARY:

A full-time seasonal position, reporting directly to the Clubhouse Manager, the Maître d’Hôtel will support all existing and new implementations of innovative leadership and management of the food and beverage operation. This will be achieved by a hands-on approach, with the end-goal of providing a 100% experience to all patrons of Beaconsfield Golf Club by abiding by the highest of private club standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSABILITIES:

- Assists the Clubhouse Manager in maintaining and improving the quality of the day-to-day operations of the food and beverage operation, including, but not limited to:

o Regular à la carte service

o Member events

o Outside events

- Takes the lead on managing the day to day operations of the beverage operation, including, but not limited to:

o Staffing of bartenders, waiters and support staff

o Liquor, wine and beer ordering

o Accounting for all spillage, lost product and breakage

o Assisting in monthly beverage inventory counts

- Exercises their judgment in adjusting staffing levels for current or upcoming shifts based on fluctuating business levels, weather, etc.

- Ensures accuracy and completeness of all P.O.S. food and beverage sales items by the end of day.

- Assists the Hospitality Experience Manager in producing pre-event and post-event P and L analyses

- Enforces all Human Resource and Club policies with the Staff, Members and visitors.

- Any additional duties and tasks as instructed by the Hospitality Experience Manager.

COMPETENCIES OF THE APPLICANT:

- Bilingual (English/French), customer service driven with a positive, passionate and inviting personality.

- Minimum 4 years experience in a Food and Beverage management role

- Excellent organizational, management, leadership and problem-solving skills

- Motivator with team building capabilities

- Proficiency in MS Office suite required

- Ability to multi-task and remain calm under pressure

- Extensive wine and spirits knowledge, formal sommelier and/or WSET training preferred

Poste de Maître d’Hôtel au Club de Golf Beaconsfield

SOMMAIRE DU POSTE:

Un poste temp-plein saisonnier, se rapportant directement au Directeur de la restauration, le Maître d’Hôtel supportera toute existantes et nouvelles implémentations au sein de l’organisation. Incluant tous les aspects de l’opération de restauration. Ceci en ayant une approche pratique et impliquée avec comme but de prodiguer une expérience 100% à tous les clients du Club de Golf Beaconsfield en respectant les plus hauts standards de clubs privés.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES:

- Assiste le Directeur de la restauration à maintenir et améliorer la qualité des opérations journalières de l’opération de restauration, incluant, mais non limité à :

o Service à la carte régulier

o Évènements de membres

o Évènements externes

- Prend la charge dans la gestion des opérations journalières, incluant, mais non limité à :

o Horaires de barman, serveurs et personnel de soutien

o Commandes d’alcool, vin et bière

o Comptabilisation des pertes et bris d’inventaire

o Aide au compte des inventaires mensuels.

- Faire preuve de jugement dans l’ajustement des niveaux de main d’œuvre en fonction de l’occupation, météo, etc.

- S’assure de la précision et de l’exécution des ventes quotidiennes de nourriture et boisson dans le système de point de vente.

- Assiste le Directeur de l’Expérience client dans la réalisation des analyses de profits et pertes des évènements.

- S’assure de l’application de toute politique de ressources humaines et du Club auprès des employés, Membres et visiteurs.

- Toute autre tâche connexe tel que demandé ou requis par le Directeur de l’Expérience Client.

COMPÉTENCES DU CANDIDAT:

- Bilingue (Français/Anglais)

- Personnalité axée sur le service à la clientèle, positive passionnée et invitante

- Minimum de 4 ans d’expériences dans un poste de gestion en restauration

- Excellentes aptitutes de gestion, organisation, leadership et de résolution de problèmes

- Capacités de motivateur et de travail d’équipe

- Aptitudes à travailler avec la suite MS Office requises

- Habilité au travail en multitâches et de rester calme lorsque sous-pression

- Connaissances accrues des vins et spiritueux, formation formelle de sommelier et/ou WSET préférée
