**Titre du poste :**

Technicien d’atelier – Atelier de camions

**Relève de :**

Superviseur d’atelier / Directeur de succursale

**Objectif du poste**

L’objectif principal de ce poste est d’effectuer l’installation, l’assemblage et l’entretien des systèmes montés sur camions, notamment les systèmes hydrauliques, les driveshafts et les systèmes de contrôle de la neige et de la glace.

**Responsabilités principales**

Installer, assembler et réparer l’équipement monté sur camions à l’aide des composants identifiés, des dessins, des bons de travail et des manuels des fournisseurs.

Diagnostiquer les problèmes, dépanner et conseiller sur les réparations possibles.

Aider, par l’intermédiaire du superviseur d’atelier ou du directeur de succursale, à établir des devis pour les clients pour les réparations et les installations.

Usiner, former et souder les composants de support au besoin.

Utiliser tous les outils et équipements identifiés et requis pour l’installation et la réparation de l’équipement monté sur camions.

Effectuer toutes les activités d’inspection, de test et de vérification figurant dans les Procédures documentées de l’atelier de camions.

Capacité à lire les plans et devis.

**Responsabilités additionnelles**

Maintenir l’atelier propre, rangé et organisé.

Entretenir et calibrer l’équipement selon l’échéancier documenté et à la demande du superviseur immédiat.

Communiquer avec le personnel interne au besoin.

Recommander des améliorations de processus.

Participer à la formation.

Respecter toutes les politiques et procédures internes, notamment en matière de santé et sécurité et de gestion de la qualité.

Respecter toute la législation régionale, y compris la Loi sur la santé et la sécurité au travail et la Loi sur la sécurité des véhicules automobiles de Transports Canada.

**Qualifications – Permis / Exigences scolaires**

2 à 3 ans d’expérience et/ou de formation dans un atelier automobile ou de camions, ou une combinaison équivalente d’études et d’expérience.

Certificat en soudure est un atout précieux.

**Qualifications – Connaissances**

Connaissance des outils manuels, pneumatiques et d’mesure.

Connaissance du soudage.

Connaissance des machines et équipements standards utilisés dans un atelier de camions.

**Compétences**

Bonne capacité de communication tant avec les clients externes qu’avec le personnel interne.

Capacité à prioriser et organiser les tâches afin de respecter les échéances.

Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches dans un environnement au rythme rapide.

**Conditions de travail**

Le travail dans l’atelier de camions exige des tâches répétitives et physiquement exigeantes. Ces tâches requièrent de la dextérité manuelle, de l’attention aux détails, une

bonne coordination main-œil, des flexions, du perçage, du martelage et du levage de charges lourdes. Toutes les pratiques de travail sécuritaires doivent être respectées. Des heures supplémentaires peuvent être requises selon les besoins opérationnels.

Shop Technician – Truck Shop

Reports to:

Shop Supervisor / Branch Manager

Job Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to perform the installation, assembly, and servicing of truck mounted systems, including but not limited to, hydraulics, driveline and snow and ice control systems.

Major Responsibilities

Install, assemble, and repair truck mounted equipment with identified components, drawings, work orders and vendor manuals.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and advise on possible repairs.
Through the Shop Supervisor or Branch Manager, assist in quoting customers for repairs and installation.
Machine, form, and weld supporting components as required.
Use all identified and required tools and equipment in the installation and repair of truck mounted equipment.
Complete all inspection / test / verification activities as listed on documented Truck Shop Procedures.
Ability to read blueprints.

Additional Responsibilities

Workplace is to be kept neat, tidy, and organized.
Equipment is to be maintained and calibrated per the documented schedule and at the request of the immediate supervisor.
Communicate with internal staff as required.
Recommend Process improvement.
Participate in training.
Compliance with all internal Policies and Procedures including, but not limited to, Health and Safety and Quality Management.
Compliance with all regional legislation including Occupational Health and Safety, Transport Canada’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards Act.

Qualifications – Licensing / Educational Requirements

2-3 years of experience and/or training in an automotive / truck shop or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Welding certificate is a valued asset.

Qualifications – Knowledge

Knowledge of Hand, Air and Measuring tools
Knowledge of Welding
Knowledge of industry standard machinery and equipment used in a truck shop environment.

Skills

Ability to communicate well with both external customers and internal staff.
Ability to prioritize and organize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

The working condition of the truck shop requires repetitive tasks that are physically demanding. These tasks require manual dexterity, attention to detail; hand-eye co-ordination, bending, drilling, hammering and heavy lifting. All safe work practices must be adhered to. Overtime hours may be required based on operational needs.
