Full job description

Goodboy is a creative studio that builds brands and then buys the media to put them in front of people. Strategy, creative, content, and performance all live under one roof — which means the ads you run are the ads our team made, and you'll be in the room when they're built.

We're looking for a Junior Media Buyer to join our performance team part-time. You've got a year or two of hands-on account experience, you've clicked publish on real campaigns with real budget behind them, and you're ready to go deeper across more platforms than most junior roles will give you.

This is a remote, part-time role — roughly 20–25 hours a week on a schedule we'll set together. We're a Montreal-based studio and we want you in the Montreal or Toronto area so we can pull you into the occasional in-person session and keep you on our working hours.

What you'll do

Build, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Meta, Google, TikTok, and Reddit — from account structure and audience setup through to naming conventions and QA before anything goes live
Own day-to-day account hygiene: budget pacing, bid adjustments, negative keywords, placement exclusions, and catching the things that quietly burn spend
Pull and organize performance data into clean weekly reporting our strategists and clients can actually read
Flag what's working and what isn't — creative fatigue, a winning hook, an audience that's tapped out — and bring recommendations, not just numbers
Partner with our creative team on ad concepts and briefs, and get creative trafficked into platforms on schedule
Keep tracking honest: pixels, conversion events, UTMs, and the boring setup work that makes every other number trustworthy
Run structured tests — creative, audience, landing page — and document what you learned so the next campaign starts smarter

What you bring

1–2 years of hands-on paid media experience, agency or in-house, where you were the one actually in the ad accounts
Working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, plus real exposure to at least one of TikTok Ads Manager or Reddit Ads (we'll get you fluent in the rest)
Comfort in a spreadsheet — pivot tables, clean data, and the patience to reconcile numbers that don't match
A basic grasp of the metrics that matter and what they mean: CPM, CTR, CPA, ROAS, frequency, and where each one starts lying to you
Clear written communication — a lot of this job is explaining a performance shift in three sentences
Organized and self-directed. Part-time and remote means nobody is standing over your shoulder, and we need that to be a feature, not a problem
Based in the Greater Montreal or Greater Toronto area and legally entitled to work in Canada

Nice to have

Google Ads certification, or Meta Blueprint
Experience with GA4, Looker Studio, or Triple Whale
DTC / ecommerce background
You have opinions about creative, not just placements

Compensation
$26–$33 per hour, depending on experience and depth across platforms. Part-time, approximately 20–25 hours per week.
